Hello ever
yone! Well, did the usual Saturday thing that most people would do. I went out with Joshua, Yogesh, Daniel and Athanasius today. Well, we agreed to meet at Dhoby GhautInterchange and proceed to Vivo City by a direct train which is the North-East Line. The meeting time was supposed to be at 12noon. Unfortunately when I left the house, I saw that bus 32 just arrived! I was like “Oh my god!” and Ian for the bus. Despite the amount energy that I summoned to make me run, I failed to catch the bus. Therefore, leaving me with no choice but to wait for a whole 15 minutes which seemed like hours.

Upon reaching the MRT station, I saw that the train heading towards my destination will arrive in a minute! Again but reluctantly, I ran again, this time, I managed to catch it! To my surprise, Joshua was on the same train as me, so I met him.

Finally, we arrived at Vivo City, Immediately when we entered. Athanasius was lured to the National Geographic Store. It just opened a few weeks before as I went there during the last month, it was under renovation. Their entrance was quite attractive, maybe because the words “NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC” stood out in the dark background.

So, under Athanasius’s sulking, we went in. If you ever go to Vivo City, that shop is a MUST GO! Even before we entered, we saw this huge structure made of wood, it looks like a horse yet it looks like some prehistoric animal from the extremely early ages. Everyone was busy snapping picture and Joshua was doing so. Therefore, I took two pictures-

And so, we trudged further into the store. What caught out attention next was a Controlled Freezing Chamber. We glanced at the thermometer form outside and it was      -2.5 degrees! We wanted to try but only one person was allowed inside at a time. Besides, the temperature was not right, they had to make sure it was -4.0 degrees before they would let anyone in.

So, we decided to come back after the show. We went to Burger King and had lunch there. Athanasius ordered a 32 OZ coke and managed to finish it! Well Done Athanasius! It was like SUPER GIANT SIZED!

Oh yea, I forget to state why we were going to Vivo City, Because it was Joshua’s birthday and coincindentally, the movie Inkheart was showing so we went to both celebrate his birthday and watch Inkheart. Me, Athanasius and Daniel did not buy Joshua anything so we went to Toys R Us to see if there were anything that we could get. Sadly, none.

Well, we went to Action City after that. We saw some really creative toys. Like you have a “gun-alarm clock” when the alarm rings, you use the gun and aim at the targets to disable it. Also we saw some crazy “hand-held Massagers” that massages you when you switch it on. All you have to do is hold it and it will feel like someone is massaging you. The most interesting thing was: We saw this thing, that SMELLED like bread, FEELS like bread but, it is NOT bread. It was actually a stress ball shaped in bread figures. For example, if you bought the donut ones, it will smell like donuts. However, it was quite highly priced.

Then, we went to the cinema. Inkheart was a really nice show. I strongly recommend you to watch it! It was very nice. Anyway after the show, two arcade freaks, Athanasius and Daniel kept bugging us to go to the arcade. So, we went. I wasted like $15 dollars there. Played some racing games, tennis games and air hockey, They were quite fun! And that was how i spent my saturday=)

Chinese New Year - Day2

The second day of Chinese New Year has just passed. I am sure everyone have been busy visiting relatives and collecting red packets. Well, not to forget, eating reunion dinner. Somehow, these year's red packets that i have collected seems to be lesser. Maybe it is due to the economic crisis that the world is facing now.

Anyway, i have heard from some of my classmates that their red packets have been reducing too. However, due to privacy, i will not reveal the names. Well, ate reunion dinner at my Grandma's house today. I must say that it was really nice. Even though it was just steamboat, it was nice!

Went to Bugis today. Amazingly, most of the shops are open even though it is only the second day of Chinese New Year. I bought a new wallet, from the wallet shop, it looks quite nice. Well, here's a quick picture that i snapped.

Well, it looks nicer in real life, I felt that the wordings were pretty cool so i bought it. I costs my $29.90 Well, it isn't that bad after all. Amazingly, even shops like LEVIS & Converse were open.

Well, i will upload pictures of reunion dinner soon.

Hello everyone! Today is the first day of Chinese New Year! I am sure everyone went around visiting their relatives and collect red packets. Well, have you all seen the countdown that Singapore held to usher in Chinese New Year? Well, if you have missed it, here is a brief video from Youtube that shows the firecrackers and fireworks that were used to usher in Chinese New Year 2009!

Well, i know that the video is a little hazy as the fireworks and firecrackers produce smoke when set alight. Anyway, i went to many many houses today. Collected quite a lot of red packets. Today's sum added up to around 200 plus. It was quite little compared to the previous year. Well, here are some pictures of firecrackers and fireworks:

- This firecracker must have been torn off from the whole strip of it when it was set off.

Here's a picture of fireworks that was set off during Chinese New Year celebration

Thats all,
